Levi’s Vintage Clothing - 1967 505-0217 Boomboom Jeans. | Named the Boomtown Collection in the spirit of the industrial boom of the 60s in Detroit, Levi’s Vintage clothing releases the 1967 505-0217 Boomboom. The denim has been heavily washed and distressed to simulate extended wear and tear of a factory worker. The 505s are one of the first pre-shrunk pair of Levi’s, the 1967 505 jeans were shrunk by the company’s “special process 686,” which retained the strength of the cloth and minimized shrinkage. Essentially they are one of the first pairs of sanforized denim. This 1967 version of the 505 retains the copper waist-band button, a lower rise slim straight silhouette then the 501s and is finished off with double sided capital “E” red tab.
